To become the meeting point, the international umbrella of stakeholders, and the voice representing all specialists, researchers and those interested in various sciences, literature, and arts of the Arabic language from the Arab nations, the Muslim world, and globally.

Who are we

The Arabic Language Int’l Forum, ALIF, is an initiative of the “Rising Crescent Organization”, a non-governmental organization, not for-profit global foundation.  The temporary headquarters of the Forum is Antalya, Turkey, and it has branches and regional centers in other cities world-wide.

Our Members

The membership of the Forum brings together individuals, institutions, foundations, universities, civic society organizations, corporations, and official and international bodies interested in the Arabic language from around the world (200 countries).

The vision, mission, goals, and values governing Arabic Language Int’l Forum, ALIF is a set of interrelated and integrated principles, expressing ALIF’s identity, and aiming in its entirety to achieve the success of its strategic plan. This identity is the umbrella for the system of practices, manners and ethics adopted by ALIF, in order to achieve its vision for the future.  ALIF is also focused on the clarity of its orientations, which combine independence, inclusiveness and universality. This focus highlights the ideas that govern its work and strategic plans.

ALIF’s Objectives

1. Support and empower experts, specialists, and all those interested in various fields, sciences, literature, and arts related to the Arabic language.

2. Increase communication and collaboration between various entities, organizations, linguistic academies, and civic society institutions associated with the Arabic language.

3. Globally Introduce activities, events, and programs of associations, academic and educational institutions, and universities involved in the teaching of the Arabic language.

4. Preservation of heritage, arts, literature, and sciences associated with Arabic.

5. Strengthen the role of modern technologies in the service, development, and preservation of language.

Members are given priority in participating in ALIF’s programs, activities, and panel discussions. ALIF offers many specialized services to members throughout the year.

Experts, academics, consultants, specialists, and public figures. It also includes teachers, writers, and thinkers, as well as those interested in the arts and aesthetics of the Arabic language, calligraphy, paintings inspired by Arabic.
